1. Combine the milk and sugar in a saucepan.
2. Bring to a full, rolling boil. Stir constantly. Boil, stirring, for 1 minutes.
3. Add the chocolate and stir until melted.
4. Beat over the heat until smooth.
5. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter, vanilla, and salt.
6. Serve hot or cold.
